What ceramic window tinting does

Automotive window tinting is a thin film bonded to the inside of your glass. The right film does three jobs at once: it rejects infra-red heat so the cabin stays cooler, it filters the ultraviolet light that fades trim and cracks dashboards, and it cuts the harsh glare that tires your eyes on a long Adelaide commute.

Ceramic film is the modern standard. Instead of dye that fades or metal that blocks phone and GPS signals, it uses nano-ceramic particles to stop heat while staying optically clear. You get the comfort and the privacy without the purple haze older tints were known for.

There is a health angle too. Tint blocks the vast majority of UV rays, which shields your skin on long drives and slows the fade and cracking that sun does to leather, plastics, and dash trim. Park in the Adelaide sun and the cabin is far more bearable the moment you climb back in.

Choose your film tier

We fit four ceramic tiers so you can match the film to your budget and how much heat you want gone. Suntek CXP starts at $345 and rejects 55% of infra-red heat, our most popular entry point. Solargard Ion Ceramic at $445 lifts that to 75%. Rayno S9 Phantom at $545 is a multi-layer nano-carbon ceramic that rejects 92%. Our flagship Ultrafit Signature at $745 pushes near-total heat rejection at 97%, with exceptional clarity.

Prices vary with the make, model, and year of your vehicle, since glass shapes and window counts differ. ZipPay buy-now-pay-later is available if you would rather spread the cost, and a free quote takes a minute to lock in the price for your exact car.

02How we work

How we fit your tint

3 to 4 hours

Drop off, collect same day

Most passenger cars are done in about three to four hours. Larger SUVs, vans, and full-car packages take a little longer, so we usually suggest dropping the vehicle off and collecting it later the same day.

Precision cut

Cut and heat-formed

Our fitters computer-cut each panel to the glass, ease back the door seals where needed, and heat-form the film to the curve of the rear screen.

Controlled bay

Clean edges, no bubbles

Clean edges and a bubble-free finish come down to preparation, so we work in a controlled bay and give the job the time it needs.

Ceramic versus standard film

Standard dyed film is cheaper up front, but it blocks less heat, fades toward purple over the years, and does little against infra-red. Metallised film rejects more heat but can interfere with radio, GPS, keyless entry, and mobile reception.

Ceramic film sidesteps both problems. It blocks significantly more heat and UV than dyed or metallised film, keeps its colour, and stays signal-friendly. That is why we fit ceramic across every tier rather than selling a cheap base film we would not run on our own cars.

Legal shades and night visibility

Quality film is engineered to hold excellent visibility, including at night. We offer a range of visible light transmission levels, from a lighter 35% down to deeper 20% and 5%, and we will advise the right shade for your driving needs and South Australian regulations.

Front side windows are governed by state VLT rules, so we fit within the law and keep your car roadworthy. If you mostly want heat and UV relief without going dark, a lighter ceramic shade still rejects serious heat.
