Ceramic coating in Adelaide

A liquid nano-coating that cures into a hard, glossy shell over your paint, so water beads, dirt struggles to hold, and the finish stays sharp for years.

A ceramic coating from Tint Bros is quoted per vehicle once we inspect the paint. Pair it with window tinting, which starts from $345 and ranges up to $745 depending on the film tier and your car, for a full exterior package that beads water and blocks heat.

01The benefits you feel

What a coating actually does

Not a wax that washes off in weeks. A hard, bonded layer that changes how your paint behaves every day.

Water just rolls off

The surface turns hydrophobic, so rain and hose water pull into beads and sheet away, carrying most of the dirt with them. Less clinging grime means fewer, easier washes.

Showroom depth and gloss

A coating adds a hard, transparent layer that makes colour read richer and reflections sharper, the wet-look finish you see on a fresh detail, holding for years instead of weeks.

Guards against UV fade

Adelaide sun is brutal on paint. The coating shields the clear coat from UV, slowing the oxidation and fade that dulls an unprotected finish over a few summers.

Shrugs off sap and fallout

Bird droppings, tree sap and light industrial fallout bond to the coating far less than to bare paint, so they lift away before they can etch and stain the surface.

02The beading test

See the water bead

Hydrophobic is the word installers throw around, but this is what it looks like. On bare paint, water spreads and clings in a film that dries into spots. On a coated panel, the same water pulls into tight beads at a high contact angle and rolls off, taking the dirt with it.

The clip beside this is a real Tint Bros coat beading water. That self-cleaning behaviour is the everyday payoff of a coating: less grime holding on, so the car spends more of its life looking clean.

A ceramic coating makes paint hydrophobic, so water beads and rolls off instead of drying into spots, which keeps a coated car cleaner for longer between washes.

03Trusted coatings

We coat with Gtechniq

A coating is only as good as the prep under it and the product on top. We stock Gtechniq alongside other trusted coating brands, and we spend the time where it counts: washing, decontaminating, claying, and correcting swirls before a drop of coating goes on. Only then do we apply it panel by panel and let it flash.

The car then needs about seven days to cure fully before its first wash, and a pH-neutral shampoo from there on. Rushing the cure is the most common way a coating fails early, so we let it set before you drive it hard.

06Ceramic coating questions

Ceramic coating, answered

  • A fresh ceramic coating needs time to harden after application. We recommend waiting about seven days before the first wash so the coating cures fully, then using a pH-neutral shampoo from there on to protect the finish. Rushing the cure is the most common way a coating fails early, so give it the week before you drive it hard.

  • Years, not weeks. A professional ceramic coating bonds chemically to your clear coat and becomes part of the paint's top surface, where wax sits on the surface and washes away in weeks. Washed gently with a pH-neutral shampoo, a coated car holds its water beading and gloss for the long haul.

  • Wax gives a warm glow but breaks down in a month or two, especially through an Adelaide summer, and synthetic sealants still need regular reapplication. A professional ceramic coating outlasts both by years and holds its water beading and gloss far longer. The trade-off is preparation: a coating locks in whatever is under it, so the paint has to be properly decontaminated and, where needed, machine-corrected first.
