Paint protection film (PPF) in Adelaide

Invisible, self-healing armour that takes the stone chips and road rash your paint would otherwise wear. Wrap the front end, the daily chip zones, or the whole car.

01Physical protection

Clear armour over your paint, not just a coating

PPF is a tough, clear urethane layer bonded over your paint. It takes the hits, chips, scratches, bug etching, and road rash, so the surface underneath stays factory-fresh.

Paint protection film is quoted per vehicle by the coverage you choose, from a front-end package to a full-body wrap, so request a free quote for your exact figure. For reference, window tinting at Tint Bros starts from $345 and ranges up to $745 depending on the film tier and your vehicle, and PPF is scoped separately once we know how and where you drive.

Physical armour

A genuine sacrificial barrier thick enough to stop stone chips and road rash before they reach your paint.

Self-healing

Light swirls and fine scratches lift out on their own with warmth from the sun or a warm wash.

Virtually invisible

Fitted with edges wrapped where possible, it disappears into the panel and keeps your exact colour and gloss.

Hydrophobic finish

A slick top layer means water and dirt bead and rinse away instead of clinging to the paint.

02Coverage zones

Protect as much or as little as you like

Select a package to see exactly which panels it films. Front-end covers the leading edges that chip first; full-body wraps the lot.

FilmedGlass

Front-end package: Bonnet, front bumper, guards, and mirrors, the leading edges that take the worst of highway stone and gravel.

03Self-healing

Scratches that lift themselves out

Quality film has a self-healing top layer. Light swirls and fine scratches disappear on their own with warmth, from the sun or a warm wash, so the surface keeps looking fresh instead of collecting marks. Run a heat cycle to watch it happen.

05PPF vs ceramic

They solve different problems, and many owners fit both

PPF is physical armour against impact and abrasion. A ceramic coating is a slick, glossy layer that keeps paint clean, but it will not stop a stone chip.

Paint protection film

Impact and abrasion

A genuine sacrificial barrier for stone chips, scratches, and road rash. Self-healing and virtually invisible, fitted where the highway does the most damage.

Ceramic coating

Gloss and easy cleaning

A slick chemical layer that guards against UV and staining and makes washing effortless. The premium combination is PPF on the high-impact panels with ceramic over the top.

06PPF questions

Paint protection film, answered

  • Quality paint protection film has a self-healing top layer. Light swirls and fine scratches lift out on their own with warmth from the sun or a warm wash, so the surface keeps looking fresh rather than collecting marks.

  • Yellowing, water spotting and edge contamination are what age a neglected film. The PPF we fit has a hydrophobic top finish so water and dirt bead and rinse away, and we recommend a dedicated PPF sealant as aftercare: it bonds to the film and resists yellowing, so the film stays clear and virtually invisible.

  • Yes. PPF is a sacrificial barrier, fitted to take the stone chips and abrasion so your paint does not, and a panel of film can be removed and replaced by an installer once it has done its job. That is why owners of new cars often wrap the front end straight away: the paint underneath stays factory fresh, which pays off when it comes time to sell.
